Dr. Kerline Marcelin is a Board-Certified ophthalmologist and fellowship trained glaucoma specialist and surgeon. After graduating with a Bachelors of Arts in Psychobiology as a Trustee Scholar from New York University, she earned her medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine, during which time she received a research grant from the National Institutes of Health – the nation’s foremost medical research agency. Dr. Marcelin then completed her residency training in Ophthalmology at NYU Medical Center followed by a Glaucoma Diseases fellowship at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, one of the world’s leading eye treatment facilities, under the instruction of Drs. Robert Ritch, Jeffery Liebmann, and Celso Telloo, academic leaders in the field of glaucoma.
Dr. Marcelin practicing since 2000 in Westchester County. where she practices comprehensive ophthalmology with a sub-specialty focus on the diagnosis and management (medical and surgical) of both routine and complex glaucoma. In addition, Dr. Marcelin has served on the teaching faculty at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, as an Assistant Professor and Glaucoma Specialist since 2000. She also holds academic appointments at New York Medical College and Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Before entering private practice, Dr. Marcelin served as the Director of Glaucoma Services at Jacobi Hospital/ North Central Bronx Hospital Systems and Catholic Medical Center in Queens, NY. In addition to training and mentoring ophthalmology residents in glaucoma, Dr. Marcelin has participated in medical missions to Haiti.
